Do you play video games? Hey, there's no reason to be embarrassed if you do. Many children and adults alike enjoy the wondrous world of video games on a regular basis. Why wouldn't they! They constantly create new and more advanced games to tickle anyone's interest. Well, if you're like most of us and go gaga over the newest in game graphics, then maybe you should consider playing video games for a living. Yes, I did just say "playing video games for a living." With a number of education programs focusing in game design these days, it's completely feasible to deal with your favorite past-time for a living.

What do you know about game design? If you're like many of us, you probably just enjoy playing them and don't really delve into their creation process. Fortunately some people do. I recall one day several years back, I was delivering Chinese food to a large business center. As I knocked on a typical office door, I didn't think much of it. However, when a young man opened the door with a computer screen flashing some cool new video game in the background; I was a little curious. I asked him what he does, and he replied with "I design video games." I was in awe. Someone actually does this? Well, of course they do; I simply never thought about it. He told me that he spent a great deal of his work day playing the games and looking for quirks and flaws. It almost sounds too good to be true.

If you have a great interest in video game design, you should get online and check out your schooling options. You can easily get a degree concerning computers and specializing in game design. Tons of people are out there achieving their game design degrees as we speak. The Internet will provide you with a plethora of information regarding video games and how to achieve an education for creating them. Maybe you just never found your niche and school always seemed to bum you out. This is most likely because you were doing the wrong thing. If video games are your passion and you have a strong interest in computers, it's time you checked out what's available in game design these days and instead of having a spring break trip educate yourself first on game design. This powerful business is only growing larger, therefore it's the perfect time for you to get your foot in the door and make that dream job a reality.
